Workshops take place in our studio on the first floor. We offer an expanding programme of crochet, knitting, sewing, spinning and quilting.

Quilting bee
Thursday 7 May

1.30 - 3.30pm
A monthly quilting session where you are welcome to bring your existing project or get help with embarking on a new one. Our tutor Kerry is available to guide you and provide tuition in all aspects of quilt making. The groups are small and there is plenty of individual attention, as well as a machine for each participant.

Learn to crochet
Saturday 18 April, 10am - 12pm
Learn to crochet and master the essential stitches in a session with Kate del Nero. We'll provide you with a hook and booklet to keep, as well as all the yarn you need on the day.
£30 per person
Improvers' crochet
Saturday 2 May, 10am - 12pm
Get to grips with new stitches and with reading crochet patterns.
This class is suitable for anyone already familiar with the basic stitches.
£25 including all materials needed in the session
Quilting course
Tuesdays 28 April, 5, 12, 19 May, 2, 9, 16 and 23 June
10.00am - 1pm
An eight-week course designed to introduce you to all the essential aspects of quilting while making a sampler quilt.
You'll learn different traditional and contemporary techniques involving both hand and machine sewing.
Each student has their own machine to work on and we provide all the tools and equipment required along the way. In addition we have a large stash of fabrics that you are welcome to raid.

Learn to spin
Friday 8 May, 10am - 12.30pm
Saturday 4 July, 10am - 12.30pm
Learn the basics of spinning with our local expert spinner Chris Seers.
We'll provide you with a wheel and all the materials you need, and you can expect to leave with a skein of your own hands-on yarn.
